# Case Study: How We Developed a Fleece-Lined Windcheater Tracksuit for a Local Municipal Corporation

## The Customer Requirement

A few months ago, we worked with a local municipal corporation department in Giridih that was looking for a **customized full tracksuit in the windcheater category**.

The requirement was slightly different from a standard windcheater tracksuit. Since the tracksuits were intended for use during winter, the customer wanted something that provided better warmth while still maintaining the look and feel of sportswear.

They also required customization, including **three stripes along with front and back logos and the corporation name**. The front branding included a logo related to the **Swachh Bharat Abhiyan**.

## The Challenge: Making a Windcheater More Suitable for Winter

A conventional mesh-lined windcheater would have been one possible solution. These windcheaters are lightweight and have a premium sportswear appearance, making them suitable for active use.

However, the customer wanted something that felt **more cotton-like and warmer**, while still retaining the sporty appearance of a premium tracksuit.

This meant that simply using a regular mesh lining was not the best fit for their requirement.

We therefore looked at the construction from a different perspective: instead of using the usual cotton mesh inside, could we use a warmer fabric while retaining the outer windcheater construction?

## Our Solution: Dual-Layer Windcheater With Cotton Fleece

Our suggestion was to develop the tracksuit using a **dual-layer construction**.

The outer layer used regular nylon, maintaining the characteristic windcheater appearance and sportswear look.

For the inside, instead of the usual cotton mesh, we used **250 GSM cotton fleece**.

This combination gave the tracksuit a more winter-focused construction while retaining the overall appearance of a windcheater tracksuit.

The idea was simple: use the outer windcheater layer for the desired look and protection, while introducing a substantially warmer fleece layer on the inside to make the garment more suitable for winter conditions.

The customer liked the proposed combination and agreed to proceed with the design and material.

## Customization and Branding

Since the tracksuits were being produced specifically for the corporation department, customization was an important part of the order.

The final requirement included:

* Three-stripe styling
* Front and back logos
* Corporation name
* Swachh Bharat Abhiyan-related front branding

This allowed the standard sportswear construction to be adapted into an organization-specific uniform while retaining the appearance of a tracksuit.

## The Order

The final order was for approximately **150 tracksuits**.

The approximate cost was **₹1,200 per complete set**, and we were able to manufacture and deliver the order in approximately **three weeks**.

Following delivery, we received good feedback regarding the **comfort and winter-protection functionality** of the tracksuits.

## What We Learned From This Order

One of the important lessons from this order was that there isn't always a single standard construction that works for every windcheater requirement.

A customer may start by asking for a windcheater tracksuit, but the actual requirement may depend on factors such as **weather, warmth, fabric feel, intended use and appearance**.

In this case, a conventional lightweight mesh-lined construction was not the customer's preferred solution. Understanding that requirement allowed us to suggest a different combination of materials and construction.

The result was a **fleece-lined, dual-layer windcheater tracksuit** designed specifically around the customer's winter-use requirement.

For organizations, corporations, institutions and teams looking to order customized sportswear in bulk, these construction and material choices can make an important difference to the final product.

This order is one example of the type of customization and product-development work we undertake at **DRIBBLE**, based on the specific requirements of our buyers.
